Our story

Hi, I’m Zach

The baker behind The Bakers Dough.

My love for baking started long before The Bakers Dough came to life. I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, where some of my earliest lessons came from my mom’s vibrant kitchen.

My mom gave me a love for making things, and taught me her one secret recipe: that sharing what you make with people is the most fulfilling thing you can do.

Life eventually brought me to Maastricht, which I now call home.

The Bakers Dough was born in our home kitchen from a simple desire to make really, really delicious baked goods.

Everything I bake carries a little of where I come from and where I am now. The warmth and flavours of Cape Town. The charm of Maastricht, and the family traditions that first got my hands into the bakers dough.

Pick your bakes

Choose from the menu and tell us which day you'd like it.

Pay how you like

Cash at pickup, or by bank transfer and we’ll send an invoice. Both get you a confirmation email.

Collect, or we deliver

Pick it up in Maastricht, or we'll bring it to you. Free within 7 km of the bakery, then €0.25 per extra kilometre by road.
